Since 2007, numerous blogs and forums have blossomed on the Internet. Team Construct has not been spared. Encouraged by veritable mud-slinging campaign, criticisms and slanderous comments have appeared on the Internet aimed against our company.
This is to do with freedom of speech and the inevitable abuses that it also entails.
Certain forums, ignoring all ethical considerations share their "experience", anything goes!
These are groundless claims seeking only to discredit the firms concerned. Depending on the forum concerned, certain firms are spared, others attacked… Clearly certain forums are "remotely controlled" by one or other disloyal competitor.
It should be realised that some companies pay bloggers by exploiting a legal loophole, as on the Internet, it is not obligatory to state that the blog is includes advertorial content. These sorts of practices are very common on female blogs. Fake Facebook profiles and fake consumer reviews were the first weapons used by these companies.(1)
Team Construct's ethical charter forbids it from engaging in such practices.
We have been one of the main market players for over 20 years. Each year, we innovate and we progress, and in a highly competitive sector of activity, our success breeds envy.
It is for this reason that we have decided to have certified by a Bailiff, the proof that our reputation is not usurped. He will certify that of the last 580 buildings handed-over, only one claim is currently in litigation. He will also certify that this claim is unfounded, and that the customer in question has not paid our invoices in full.
Few building firms can boast such a small proportion of claims. Any building professional would confirm that this is so.
No smoke without fire, you say? Yes, over all our construction project (over 4,000) less than 10 claims were justified and were resolved in the mean-time or are in the process of so being.
As far as the other claims are concerned, the majority are anonymous, or else they are totally unjustified. Wherever possible, we will present you the elements of each complaint in an objective way, after arranging a meeting at our head office.
Our advisers will gladly present you a list of our current projects. You will be able to see for yourself, and in all objectivity, the seriousness and the know-how of our company, as the truth is to be found on site.
As from this year, you can consult the Teal Construct gold book at the firm's head office. Each happy new owner of a Team Construct home, without exception, adds a short comment in this book regarding their experience and the way in which their project was carried out, as well as whether or not the work was completed on time and within the budget.
Visit our sites, talk to our customers and trust your common sense.
A building firm doesn't thrive for over 20 years just by luck.
The satisfaction of our customers remains my principal objective. It is an objective that I stress to my employees at every possible opportunity. Our best reward is the spontaneous testimonials from our customers, such as this one. Click here to see the testimonial.
(1) these practices have been denounced in the press under the headline: "Dubious practices: more harm than good". The following is an extract from the article: While Web 2.0 offers businesses a new media arena, they haven't always played the game. Pierre Lelong, coordinator of the Technofutur TIC Resources and Distribution Centre and the organiser of the "Rencontres wallonnes de l’Internet citoyen" (promoting socially-responsible Internet use), denounces the dubious practices adopted by businesses: "Some pay bloggers by exploiting a legal loophole, as on the Internet, it is not obligatory to state that the blog includes advertorial content These sorts of practices are very common on female blogs. Fake Facebook profiles and fake consumer opinions were the first weapons to be used. As for countering all the rumours circulating on the Net, it is very difficult to react to them. The risk of feeding the rumours and giving them credence by attempting to respond to them is high. Sometimes, it is best to say nothing. Source: References
